Baseball Recap: Scotia-Glenville Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Scotia-Glenville waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Gloversville Huskies/Dragons. That's two games straight that the Tartans have won by just one run.

Nicholas Pedone was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Scotia-Glenville's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Gloversville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Scotia-Glenville will head out on the road to face off against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tartans are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Gloversville, they will face off against South Glens Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Huskies/Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
