Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Vikings vs. Cranston East Thunderbolts

The Rogers Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Cranston East Thunderbolts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Rogers nor Cranston East posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Rogers is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Narragansett, who was ranked sixth at the time (Rogers was ranked 18th). Rogers was beaten by Narragansett 51-23 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Cranston East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against East Providence, falling 45-16.

Cranston East's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Rogers, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Rogers strolled past Cranston East in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 by a score of 51-37. Will Rogers repeat their success, or does Cranston East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
