Softball Game Preview: Eminence Eels vs. Monrovia Bulldogs

The Eminence Eels will square off against the Monrovia Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Eminence made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Edinburgh, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eels fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eels have suffered since April 14th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monrovia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over Speedway on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Sparkplugs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Monrovia's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Wolfe, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Harper Fair was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Eminence's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Monrovia, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
