Softball Recap: Alameda Comes Up Short

Alameda fell victim to Whitney and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

Julia Lambert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Whitney, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Alameda didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Freedom on the 11th. As for Whitney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against Livermore on the 11th.
