Volleyball Recap: University City Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games + How To Watch

While University City's win against West Hills wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Centurions had just enough and edged out the Wolf Pack 3-2 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Centurions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

University City was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-6, 16-25, 22-25, 25-20, 16-14.

University City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Chiaramonte, who had 13 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Chiaramonte a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Conklin, who had 17 assists.

University City was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

University City has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for West Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, University City will face off against Mt. Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Hills, they will welcome Ramona at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
