Basketball Recap: Kallie Bair Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Altamont

Manila won the last time they faced Altamont and things went their way on Friday too. The Manila Mustangs strolled past the Altamont Longhorns with points to spare, taking the game 52-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Manila's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kallie Bair led the charge by dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Bair is becoming a predictor of Manila's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 6-8 when she doesn't). Kamryn Slaugh was another key player, going 7-for-15 on her way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Manila's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Altamont, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Manila has already played their next matchup, a 48-40 loss against Tabiona on the 14th. Altamont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
