Softball Recap: Midland Trail Takes a Loss

Midland Trail fell victim to Gilmer County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Titans. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Midland Trail saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Hall, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Midland Trail and nudges their season record down to 10-11. As for Gilmer County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gilmer County beat Midland Trail by a score of 8-6 later that day.
