Volleyball Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Mountain Ridge Sentinels
Bingham has been away from home for eight games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. After both having extra time off, they and the Mountain Ridge Sentinels will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. Bingham will be strutting in after a win while Mountain Ridge will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Bingham made easy work of Copper Hills and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-23.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge faced Corner Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Mountain Ridge fell 3-1 to Corner Canyon.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Corner Canyon scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 25-17.
Despite the defeat, Mountain Ridge had strong showings from Ava Livolsi, who had seven digs and two aces, and Allie Grossenbach, who had 16 kills, six digs, and two aces.
