Basketball Recap: Auburndale Bloodhounds vs. Bartow Yellow Jackets
The Auburndale Bloodhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Bartow on the road and fell 59-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Auburndale has scored all season.
Bartow found their leader in underclassman Ja'kylen Crossley, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Rickjerlin Senior feliz, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Auburndale dropped their record down to 7-16 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bartow, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburndale will take on the Bolts at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Ridge Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Bartow, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lakers at 7:30 p.m. Windermere Prep is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64 points per game this season.
