New Fairfield had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 10-10 to make it four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Joel Barlow Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rebels have posted since April 23rd.

New Fairfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Makarewicz, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As for Joel Barlow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-5 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Joel Barlow's side, TJ Baer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Another player making a difference was Logan Kady, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Looking ahead, New Fairfield will welcome Immaculate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Joel Barlow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
