After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shadow Ridge, Centaurus was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Woodland Beavers by a score of 8-3. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Liam Sweeney looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
At the plate, Ben Sehnert was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Centaurus' victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Coming up, Centaurus will be taking part in a tournament against Verrado at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vipers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodland, they will take on Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
