McCutcheon is 1-9 against Harrison since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mavericks will challenge the Raiders at 5:30 p.m. McCutcheon will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Friday, McCutcheon earned a 6-1 victory over Rossville.
Molly Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Sydney Osborn was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Wykoff, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Osborn wasn't the only one making solid contact: McCutcheon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Harrison got the win against Tri-County on Friday by a conclusive 15-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.
Kamryn Popp and Ashley Dunk did most of the damage at the plate: Popp went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs, while Dunk went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Hainje, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
McCutcheon's record now sits at 3-0. As for Harrison, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. McCutcheon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Harrison struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
McCutcheon couldn't quite get it done against Harrison when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 3-0. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
