Basketball Recap: Steamboat Springs Takes a Loss

Steamboat Springs lost against Delta back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Steamboat Springs Sailors took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delta Panthers.

Delta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Erik Baier out in front who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Delta is 2-1 when Baier posts 15 or more points, but 8-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was JP Gallegos, who posted 17 points.

Steamboat Springs' loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Delta, they pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Steamboat Springs has already played their next game, a 54-44 win against Rifle on the 22nd. As for Delta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-62 victory against Basalt on the 22nd.
