Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Beavers vs. South Rebels

The Riverside Beavers will face off against the South Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully South likes a good challenge.

Riverside took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Chardon by a score of 76-66. The victory continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Hilltoppers: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, South was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 61-55 to Perry.

Riverside's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for South, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-13.

Riverside didn't have too much breathing room in their game against South in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 65-61 victory. Will Riverside repeat their success, or does South have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
