Volleyball Recap: Valhalla's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Valhalla was the 2-1 winner over Mount Academy when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Vikings' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Valhalla fell to 2-1. As for Mount Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

Valhalla will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dobbs Ferry at 4:30 p.m. on October 23. As for Mount Academy, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Briarcliff on the 27th.
