Basketball Recap: East River Piles Up the Points Against Titusville

East River won against Apopka last Saturday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The East River Falcons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Titusville Terriers 55-27. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Terriers, too.

Several Terriers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kennedie Sanders, who posted 13 points and five steals. Sanders is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Emonie Moore, who earned seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.

The victory was the third in a row for East River, bringing their record for this year to 8-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Titusville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

East River will square off against Innovation at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in East River's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Innovation has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Titusville, they will take on Cocoa Beach in a tournament on Thursday.
