After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, Jonesboro was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Dutchtown Bulldogs as they made off with a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Trinity Willis made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Willis was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Zorah Jenkins was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Nautika Stodghill, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and one run.
Jonesboro pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
