Basketball Recap: Nash Jackson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Salem Hills

There's no place like home for Maple Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-57 win over the Salem Hills Skyhawks on Friday. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Skyhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Maple Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nash Jackson, who posted 14 points and eight boards. Solomon Krommenhoek was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Maple Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salem Hills only racked up nine assists.

Despite the loss, Salem Hills still got an impressive performance from Kade Moser, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Moser is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Gasser, who earned six points along with five boards and three steals.

Maple Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Salem Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maple Mountain will welcome Wasatch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maple Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season. As for Salem Hills, they will challenge Orem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem Hills also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 60.6 points per game.
