Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lyman). Their defense stepped up to hand the Lake Howell Silverhawks a 4-0 shutout on Friday. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Silverhawks are ranked 504th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lyman hit Lake Howell with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daniel Mendoza, David Campos, Levi Talley, and Jozef Jacobs.

The victory made it two in a row for Lyman and bumps their season record up to 3-1-5. As for Lake Howell, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Lyman will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on University at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Lake Howell, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-2 loss against Colonial on the 16th.
