After a string of four wins, Brown Deer's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Milwaukee School of Languages Hawks by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Brown Deer started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Idimiawa Igoni paced Brown Deer's offense, picking up nine kills. Igoni got some help from Jalisa Washington and her nine assists. Ja'Niyah Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Brown Deer's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Milwaukee School of Languages, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Brown Deer has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Hmong American Peace Academy on the 20th. As for Milwaukee School of Languages, they will head out to take on Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
