Basketball Recap: Glacier Takes a Loss

Glacier and Helena squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Glacier had to settle for second. They took a 57-41 bruising from the Helena Bengals. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Bengals are ranked 20th).

This is the second loss in a row for Glacier and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Helena, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Glacier will head out on the road to square off against Hellgate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hellgate is on a five-game streak of home wins, Glacier a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Helena, they will host Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Helena knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Butte likes a good challenge.
