The Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks entered their tilt with the Pine Crest Panthers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Sheridan Hills Christian managed a 69-65 win over Pine Crest on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Sheridan Hills Christian found their leader in underclassman Micah Smith, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Smith's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Xzavier Lafleur, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.

Sheridan Hills Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Pine Crest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheridan Hills Christian will challenge FAU High at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Pine Crest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against American Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. American Heritage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pine Crest in Florida (American Heritage is ranked 95th, while Pine Crest is ranked 453rd).
