Carol City gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hialeah Thoroughbreds by a score of 35-25. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Justin Compere went supernova, rushing for 124 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Santana Blount did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 103 receiving yards.

Coming up, Carol City will host Norland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hialeah, they will head out to challenge Belen Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Thoroughbreds' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
