Softball Recap: South Walton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mosley last Monday, South Walton came back down to earth. The South Walton Seahawks lost 15-5 to the Fort Walton Beach Vikings on Wednesday. The Seahawks have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Zoey Kreinus was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tatum Kreinus, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

South Walton's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fort Walton Beach, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Walton will host Second Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Walton Beach, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gulf Breeze at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
