Basketball Recap: Wapahani's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

Wapahani lost to Shenandoah back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Wapahani Raiders took down the Shenandoah Raiders 52-33. Given Wapahani's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Shenandoah is ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gabbi Patrick and Haley Hughes certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Patrick posted eight points and 14 boards, while Hughes earned six points and five rebounds. Patrick is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played.

Wapahani's record is now 18-4. As for Shenandoah, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.

Wapahani does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shenandoah has already played their next match (against Union County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
