Mountain City Christian Academy is 8-2 against Wasilla since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Last Tuesday, Mountain City Christian Academy came up short against Palmer and fell 67-58. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Moose recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite their defeat, Mountain City Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lukas Underhile, who went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points along with six assists and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Darian Igwacho, who posted 17 points.

Underhile wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Mountain City Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Wasilla, as they earned their first road win of the season. They pulled ahead with a 54-53 photo finish over Bartlett on Saturday.

Mountain City Christian Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Wasilla, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Mountain City Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Wasilla in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 59-52. Will Mountain City Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Wasilla have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
