Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans and fell 69-35. Trinity Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.

Several Trinity Christian players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Suchovsky, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Sherrod, who put up 11 points.

Owen Redd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Edmund Burke Academy, going 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Blake Reddick, who had six points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Edmund Burke Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Trinity Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Veritas Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 13, 2025. Edmund Burke Academy and Brentwood will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Brentwood will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Edmund Burke Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
