Basketball Game Preview: Glenelg Gladiators vs. Northeast Eagles

The Glenelg Gladiators will head out on the road to face off against the Northeast Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenelg is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Glenelg was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-30 to Wilde Lake.

Meanwhile, Northeast hadn't done well against Arundel recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Northeast blew past Arundel 58-36. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 24-point performance the match before.

Northeast's win came from a few key players Glenelg will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brynn Jones, who posted four points in addition to 11 boards and seven assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 30 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maiah Parker, who put up 16 points.

Glenelg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Northeast, their record is now 9-13.
