Volleyball Recap: Grayslake Central Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

If Carmel wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Grayslake Central, they should've done a better job of containing Evan Page. The Rams came out on top against the Corsairs by a score of 2-0 on Monday thanks in part to Page, who had 11 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Grayslake Central easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21.

Grayslake Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. As for Carmel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-24 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grayslake Central will take on Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carmel, they will face off against Nazareth Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Corsairs are facing the Roadrunners at the right time seeing as the Roadrunners are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
