Softball Recap: Cadott Hornets vs. McDonell Central Macks
Cadott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the McDonell Central Macks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Macks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in April.
Cadott saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rilei Weeks, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Cadott's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for McDonell Central, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cadott will venture away from home to take on Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for McDonell Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Grantsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Macks surely won't give up without a fight.
