Recap: Illinois Central Christian Lions vs. Homefires Flames
On Thursday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Illinois Central Christian had to settle for a 55-52 defeat against Homefires.
Homefires can attribute much of their success to Colin Chesnut, who scored 25 points. The contest was Chesnut's third in a row with at least ten points. Reagan Rademacher was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Illinois Central Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Homefires, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Illinois Central Christian will head out on the road to face off against Westfair Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Westfair Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Homefires, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Tippecanoe HomeSchool. Tippecanoe HomeSchool is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
