Basketball Game Preview: Raby Raiders vs. Wells Raiders

The Raby Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Wells Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Raby has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while Wells will come in with five straight victories.

Raby came up short against Ogden International on Tuesday, falling 73-50.

Meanwhile, Wells got the win against Clemente on Tuesday by a conclusive 69-44. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Wells' win came from a few key players Raby will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cornell Barrow, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Cail, who scored 15 points.

Wells has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Raby, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Raby might still be hurting after the 61-39 defeat they got from Wells in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Raby avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
