Recap: Penns Valley Area Rams vs. Central Cambria Red Devils
There's no place like home for The Penns Valley Area Rams, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 41-34 victory over Central Cambria on Friday. The victory was just what Penns Valley Area needed coming off of a 35-7 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Ty Watson, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Watson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrett Stover, who threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Central Cambria lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grady Snyder. Despite the final result, he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Snyder was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards. Another player making a difference was Hunter Pittsinger, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns.
Penns Valley Area's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Central Cambria, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Penns Valley Area will take on Bald Eagle Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bald Eagle Area's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three contests. Central Cambria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
