Soccer Game Preview: Tehachapi vs. California City

The Tehachapi Warriors will face off against the California City Ravens at 1:50 p.m. on Friday. Tehachapi's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tehachapi's tournament run continued when they took on Independence on Thursday. Neither Tehachapi nor Independence could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for California City's offense. They fell just short of Avenal by a score of 1-0 two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 799th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 250th).

This is the second loss in a row for California City and nudges their season record down to 4-3-1. Tehachapi's draw makes their record 1-6-4 this season.
