Baseball Recap: Indian Rocks Christian Comes Up Short

Indian Rocks Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Countryside Cougars. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Indian Rocks Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Maddox, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Noah Mortellite also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Indian Rocks Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Countryside, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Indian Rocks Christian and Countryside's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Indian Rocks Christian and Tampa Catholic (who has only given up two runs per game) will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Indian Rocks Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. Meanwhile, Countryside will challenge Clearwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, a team that's only allowed 3.6 runs per game.
