Pottsville barely beat Dardanelle the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Apaches blew past the Sand Lizards 13-4 on Friday. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Corey Greathouse was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Greathouse was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Pottsville got a big performance out of Brady Morrison, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Eli Morris was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Pottsville pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.5 runs. As for Dardanelle, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
