Softball Recap: Pickerington North Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pickerington North had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Buckeye Valley Barons. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly ten runs.

Addison Mickey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Makenna Hartley was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kaylani Meadows, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Pickerington North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pickerington North's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Buckeye Valley, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
