Softball Recap: West Salem Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

West Salem never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the South Salem Saxons with a sharp 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was West Salem's third in a row) raised their record to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Salem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Salem will square off against Sprague at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Salem, they will take on McNary at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Celtics' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Saxons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
