Baseball Recap: Marin Catholic Has No Trouble Against Tamalpais

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Marin Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Not much got past Colt Crum, who gave up just two hits to keep Tamalpais off the board. Crum has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carson Davis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Martin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Marin Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Tamalpais, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Coming up, Marin Catholic will challenge Archbishop Riordan at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Marin Catholic's pitchers better be ready for this one: Archbishop Riordan has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Tamalpais, they will square off against Terra Linda at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tamalpais is facing Terra Linda at the right time seeing as Terra Linda is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
