Volleyball Recap: Grossmont Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ciarrah Doliente and Jacqueline Villalobos

Grossmont lost against Mater Dei Catholic back in October of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Foothillers fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 2-1.

Jacqueline Villalobos and Ciarrah Doliente certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Villalobos had six digs and five aces, while Doliente had nine digs and one assist.

Grossmont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mater Dei Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Coincidentally, Grossmont and Mater Dei Catholic will both be playing Mission Hills the next time they take the court. The Foothillers will head out to face the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
