Baseball Recap: Marblehead Comes Up Short

The Marblehead Magicians came up short against the St. Mary's Spartans on Saturday and fell 11-7.

Marblehead now has a losing record of 3-4. As for St. Mary's, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Marblehead will square off against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Witches have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.29 runs per game on average), something the Magicians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Mary's, they will face off against Cardinal Spellman at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
