Soccer Game Preview: Little Miami vs. Mason

The Little Miami Panthers will square off against the Mason Comets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Little Miami's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Little Miami turned things around against Lakota East on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Thunderhawks a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Mason had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on Lebanon with a sharp 5-1 win on Tuesday. Considering Mason have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Lebanon with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tair Begzhan (2), Jake Dobrowski, John Harris, and Grayson Stern.

Little Miami's victory bumped their record up to 5-9-3. As for Mason, their win bumped their record up to 14-0-3.

Little Miami suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Mason in their previous meeting back in August of 2020. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
