Softball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Castlewood

Castlewood had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came out on top against the Florence/Henry Falcons by a score of 5-2. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Castlewood pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Florence/Henry, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Florence/Henry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 win against Baltic on the 1st. Hopefully Castlewood paid attention to the Falcons' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
