Volleyball Game Preview: Manchester Lancers vs. Midlothian Trojans

Manchester is 0-10 against Midlothian since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Manchester turned things around against Huguenot on Tuesday. They blew past the Falcons 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Lancers this season.

Manchester's got stronger as the match went on, holding Huguenot to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-7, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Midlothian got the win against James River Midlothian on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Midlothian's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Manchester, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Manchester suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Midlothian when the teams last played back in September. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
