Recap: Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs vs. Bullis Bulldogs

After flying high against the Flint Hill Huskies last Monday, the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs came back down to earth. Georgetown Visitation Prep ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-38 walloping at the hands of Bullis on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Georgetown Visitation Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 28th in District of Columbia, while Bullis is ranked fourth in Maryland).

Ivanna Manyacka was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 21 rebounds for Bullis. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Manyacka has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Adora Nwude, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Georgetown Visitation Prep has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Bullis, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown Visitation Prep will take on Sidwell Friends at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bullis, they will be playing at home against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
