The home team had won the previous four meetings between Lincoln Park and Lake View, and Lincoln Park kept the tradition alive. The Lincoln Park Lions' defense stepped up to hand the Lake View Wildcats an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Lincoln Park's offense was hitting Lake View from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Keira Schulman led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Lincoln Park's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Lincoln Park will challenge Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Lincoln Park's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lake View, they will square off against Rickover Naval at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will also give Lake View their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
