Baseball Game Preview: Larkin Royals vs. Bartlett Hawks

For the second straight game, Larkin will face off against Bartlett. The Royals will head out to take on the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Larkin hasn't scored more than two runs for seven games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Larkin and Bartlett meet (seven straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Royals lost 11-1 to the Hawks.

For Bartlett's part, Josh Colaizzi was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The Hawks are 2-1 when Colaizzi posts one or more home runs, but 7-12-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Frost, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Bartlett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Bartlett's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13-1. As for Larkin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.
