Softball Game Preview: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Safford Bulldogs

The Rincon/University Rangers will venture away from home to square off against the Safford Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Rincon/University's offense. They came up short against Tanque Verde on Thursday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rangers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rincon/University saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Gyuro, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Monday. Safford lost 11-4 to Douglas.

The defeat snapped Rincon/University's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record. As for Safford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Everything went Rincon/University's way against Safford in their previous matchup back in March of 2018, as Rincon/University made off with a 10-2 win. Will Rincon/University repeat their success, or does Safford has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
