Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Los Angeles Romans. The Democrats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Romans earlier this season, when they won 0-0.

Jefferson took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-23.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Los Angeles, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jefferson is set to challenge their familiar foe Manual Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Los Angeles will square off against rival Diego Rivera at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
