Baseball Game Preview: Catholic Bears vs. West Monroe Rebels

For the second straight game, Catholic will face off against West Monroe. The Bears will host the Rebels at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

West Monroe will be up against a hot Catholic squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 11. The Bears skirted past the Rebels 4-2. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by exactly two runs.

Reis Wascom tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Catholic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Auxt, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Those two hits gave Auxt a new career-high.

West Monroe now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
